WEBSITE TERMS

A few ground rules.

Nothing sneaky.

These terms cover how you may use rethinksocial.co.uk and the content we publish here. Client projects have their own agreements, so this is about the website, not the work we do together.

Still small print. Just not tiny.

USING THIS SITE

Use it. Don’t abuse it.

You’re welcome to browse the site, read the thinking, download resources we make available and get in touch with us.

Please don’t use the site in a way that is unlawful, damages or interferes with it, tries to gain unauthorised access to it, or affects other people’s ability to use it.

And please don’t use automated tools to scrape, copy or extract substantial amounts of content from the site without our permission.

Basically: behave like a decent internet citizen.

our content

Steal the thinking. Not the work.

The words, reports, frameworks, graphics, branding and other original material on this site belong to Rethink Social or are used with permission, unless we say otherwise.

Images and photography
Unless otherwise stated, imagery on this website is either original to Rethink Social or used under a valid commercial licence, including imagery licensed to Rethink Social Ltd through Depositphotos. Licensed images may be cropped, recoloured or otherwise adapted for the site. Copyright in third-party imagery remains with the relevant creator or rights holder.

You’re welcome to read it, share links to it and refer to our ideas. If you quote or reference something, please credit Rethink and link back to the original source where possible.

What you can’t do is copy substantial parts of our work, republish it as your own, remove attribution, sell it, or turn it into another product without permission.

Want to use something properly?
Ask us. We may be perfectly happy for you to use it, but the permission depends on what it is and what you want to do with it.

Inspiration is flattering. Copy and paste is less so.

REPORTS & DOWNLOADS

Take the PDF. Keep the copyright.

Some of the Thinking on this site is available as downloadable reports, playbooks or other resources.

You’re welcome to download them for your own use and share the original link with other people.

Downloading a file does not transfer ownership of the content or give permission to republish, sell, adapt or repackage substantial parts of it unless we explicitly say otherwise.

Some reports may have their own licence or usage terms. Where they do, those terms apply to that particular resource.

That is consistent with UK copyright rules: receiving or buying a copy of something does not itself transfer the copyright. A transfer of copyright ownership requires a written, signed assignment.

Gated downloads
Some resources ask for a few details before you can access them. That doesn’t change the copyright position, and it doesn’t automatically sign you up to every marketing list we have.

Download away. Just don’t stick your logo on it.

LINKS & OTHER SERVICES

The internet is bigger than this website.

This site may link to websites, tools or services run by other organisations.

We include those links because they may be useful, not because we control everything that happens once you leave Rethink. Other websites have their own terms, privacy practices and content, and those are their responsibility.

We may also embed or use third-party services on this site, such as Pipedrive forms or other tools. Where those services process personal information, our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain more about how that works.

Links can change

Websites move, pages disappear and occasionally the internet behaves like the internet. We’ll try to keep useful links working, but we can’t promise that every external link will always be available or accurate.

We can point you towards another website. We can’t run it for them.

IF THINGS GO WRONG

We’ll try to keep the wheels on.

We work hard to keep this website useful, accurate and available. But websites occasionally break, information dates and links wander off into the internet.

The content on this site is provided as general information and thinking. It isn’t tailored legal, financial or other professional advice, and you should use your own judgement before acting on it.

We don’t promise that the site will always be available, completely free from errors or that every piece of content will remain current forever.

Where the law allows
We won’t be responsible for losses caused solely by relying on general website content or by the website being temporarily unavailable where it would not be reasonable for us to be responsible for those losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law says cannot be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If you’re using the site as a consumer, these terms don’t take away any rights the law gives you.

We’ll be sensible about this. We ask you to be sensible too.

CHANGES & THE LAW

Things change. The basics don’t.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Website Terms when the site, the content or the way Rethink operates changes.

The latest version will always be published here, with the date updated below.

Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you’re using this site for business purposes, disputes relating to these terms or your use of the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you’re a consumer, any mandatory rights you have about where proceedings can be brought still apply. For example, consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also be able to bring proceedings in their local courts.

If one bit doesn’t work
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.

That’s the legal housekeeping done.
